It's possible you do have a faulty display, because mine starts to report the temperature within a second or two. Well before it gets even to booting Windows XP. It's especially curious if it holds the temperature through reboots. What about if you turn it off for a second, then turn it back on?
That's good to know about the NZ case. I would prefer to have it displayed in Celsius, but understand that the majority of the US doesn't look at temperatures in Celsius. |
