Just an update to finish the thread.
I did a full Scandisk and Defragment on the source disk and that helped the speed alot. Then I did the same to the target disk and things are moving tons faster now.
dbPowerAMP seems to be the winner here. It works very well and doesn't mind huge lists like MP3resizer does.
MP3resizer seems to choke on a list of just 1000 files.
Did a chunk of 250 MP3's and it took 1 hour 20 minutes. I know that doesn't seem all that much faster, but at least I can still use the machine, everything was choking before. |
