From what I understood you took out the HD from the laptop, placed it on an external enclosure and hooked it up to a PC. Please provide more details...
-did it ever ask you to format the hd @ any moment?
-what file system was installed on the Hard Disk? Windows, Linux?
-brand and model for both the HD and the enclosure?
If the HD was becoming unstable before, it would be my first guess that it went FUBAR... but it also can be a problem with the enclosure, although that's a more distant possibility.... |
