I wanted to start a discussion on this cause I am intrested in opinions on this subject. I might cross post this to techbox.org and see what they have to say as well.

Being a computer tech (and outside of my job as well) I have run into people that own computers and say that they have no intrest in learning about computers, and if at all, they say that they just want to get on the net and check e-mail. They bring their machines in loaded with so much spyware, adware, and crap that I am hard pressed not to just re-install windows clean and have them start again. Why this almost hostile attitude towards technology? Is it that it just changes so fast that they feel afraid they can't keep up with it? Or is it just plain ol' human fear of the unknown? Mostly older people 50+ tell me this and some that are much younger. Let me know what you all think. Hopefully this could be a cool discussion. Thanks! Two Cents Confused Smile
