The only reason you are using Bootvis is trying to decrease boot loading time right? I've used BootVis in the past and didn't really notice much of a change if any change.

Run a 3rd party disk defrag tool like Executive Diskeeper 9.0 and remove the startup processes and the computer should start a lot quicker.

If that doesn't work, reinstalling windows is pretty simple... a pain.... yet simple...

Sorry I can't help you with your problem directly. Like I said the Microsoft Knowledge Base may be your friend here....
