Wouldn't say the drive is toast. Lots of things could've happened.
If your 40gb drive can be formatted, and an OS installed, try that first. If you can get it up and running, use the SATA as a secondary drive temporarily to clean off files, and connect the MP3 drive to make back-up/make sure it's good. Then once you know you have all the stuff you need off the Raptor, do a reformat/install and see how that works out. |
