Yep,

I read a post on another forum where a user had two BFG cards and still couldn't get the SLI function to work. Turned out the firmware was different on the two cards.

BFG helped by having him send in the two cards and they made sure that they were the same revsion.

When purchasing cards with SLI as an end-result, if you are not purchasing both at the same time, see if the maker provides the firmware on their site. This way you can flash both cards.

1. update firmware on card 1.

2. Remove card from PCI-E slot 1.

3. Place 2nd card in PCI-E slot 1.

4. update firmware on card 2.

5. place both cards in system and switch to "SLI MODE" depending on boards method.

6. Enjoy SLI goodness.

I ended up going with an MSI NX6600GT-TD128E, the liveupdate 3 utility allows the VGA bios to be upgraded.
