LOL @ you guys and your disbelief about Windows + server duties...
I had a Win98SE machine run a cable tv subscriber database of 4500 subs on a 500mhz K6-2 with 512MB of ram for over 2 years. 4 reboots.
Helps to have memory cleaning appz that run every 4 hours though. lol
Present server is 900 Duron @ 1000mhz with 768MB of RAM with WinXP PRO. only reboots have been for Windows updates or driver updates. can probably count the reboots on both hands with fingers to spare in the last 3 years. |
