It probably would, 64bit OS's should fully take advantage of the 64bit CPU. Where a 32bit OS can't fully take advantage of the 64bit CPU.
When I load Windows XP 64, I see a significant increase in performance.
Speaking of which, I need to go get the latest version and put it on my new box LOL
