If a web server had a Athlon 64 3000+ processor (for example) and was using a 64-bit operating system, would it make a difference as compared to the same server with just a 32-bit OS?
I have seen some servers with a choice of a 64-bit version of CentOS, or Red Hat Enterprise (32-bit) and wondered if it would really matter.
