YA actullay i think it mostly looses friction with the road. the motor has a spindle with little riges on it so it digs into the tire...and every time i ride it i make sure that the motor is pressing hard agains the back wheel...The tires dont slip on the rims once you get them on the only way they are gunna move is by cutting them off  . I was out riding about 1 hr agoo and i almost fell off going about 15 I hit a wet strip on my street that had a bit of moss on it and both tires lost traction and i almost got thrown off .
