Burn a hole through the chips? One of the techs here at work brought me a HD that he thought was bad. Looked at the bottom of it and two of the chips were BURNT! He laughed said the user that tried to replace it plugged in the cable backwards...
WTF! How do you do that? 
His response: No idea, the guy said the cable wouldn't fit so he shoved it on.  |
