I would go for a fresh install. i admit im bias for i have never used the repair install b/c i never cared if i lost data or have to reinstall apps.
As for some tips, just make sure u get key/registration info for all the programs you use and get them ready on a txt doc and save it on a floppy.
Use multiple partitions, for example give the windows install ~10gigs, downloads ~5-10gigs (unless u are a download a lot of stuff), and then data making up the rest. This will let u reinstall when every u need to w/o having to worry about losing data/redownloading stuff. As well u can then compress the data u dont use much easier this way.
And before u do anything make sure u backup all the data u want to keep, a one commonly forgotton is bookmarks.... |
