That's funny, the good to crap ratio is pretty high for new GMs compared with Ford. My aunt's Chevy Venture is the biggest POS I've ever seen, the Aztec, Avalanche, four-inches-between-body-panels Saturns, semi-ugly new trucks, etc don't make them look very good.
Not that I would argue Ford vs Chevy, they both have their good points, I just think new Ford quality is a bit higher than new GM quality (by new I mean anything after say, 1996).
Now, go back a few years to the '80s and I'd take either one when it came to trucks and Broncos/Blazers (although I love Broncos), go back even farther to the '60s and '70s and I would be Chevy all the way.
Despite what I may think about GM's other offerings, let's face it, the Corvette has always been better than the Mustang and 2005 is no exception, the new Mustang is a joke and the new Corvette is faster and sexier than the last.
When it comes to trucks, there's nothing better than a Toyota in the light truck world, and for real trucks (one ton) a nice Dodge turbo diesel dually will best everything else out there.
Anyway, to me Ford vs Chevy is like North vs South Civil War crap, they're the same thing, American. You can argue which is best all day long because they're so similar. Try argueing Ford vs Porsche, Chevy vs Ferrari, any arguements there? I don't think so. _________________ Due to a not-that-interesting turn of events, I am now known as Justin Danger. |
