I have done some research on this...
DLP is great, however...
1) You have to replace the lightbulb in them every year or two (they are a couple hundred bucks each). HOWEVER this will make the TV basically have a "new" picture.
2) Because of the way DLP works, it causes some people to have headaches.
Widescreen IS the way to go. (Most programs look like crap however when stretched... but you get used to it).
Personally after looking into it, I went with a plain old Projection HDTV. Best price, wider viewing angle, great picture. (We bought a 51" Widescreen Toshiba earlier this year) |
