 haha thanks guys.. I guess i know which dvd burner i should be lookin to buy now 
Does seem very good for the price its only 82 bucks in canada. And i hear the rip locks can be taken off by using special patches..
Now just gotta convice my dad i'm not blowing money (he seems to think every bit of technology is a waste of money)
