I already have a 160Gb SATA HDD. I wouldn't mind picking up another on and going SATA - Raid, but the Abit AV8 only has two SATA headers so I would have to forgo the optical drive and that PATA cable is really starting to look archaic next to the SATA cable, rounded floppy cable and power leads.
I used to have some rounded PATA cables, but trashed them after I spent nearly a week troubleshooting a random lock-up problem only to find that my nice fancy new rounded cable was the culprit. (makes me hesitant to go that route again).
More about the PSU - it's humming along nicely supplying 5.22v and 12.17v to my OC'd A64 3000+ 90nm CPU (2250Mhz @ 9x250). Smooth, Stable and relatively quiet. |
