whining up and down. this occurs when CPU load hits anything above 20-30% or so. it even occurs when holding down the mouse button, highlighting text, etc. even the banner ads on this site cause a noticeable up and down whirring.
i am running a Abit KT7-RAID w/ a T-Bird 1Ghz. my Abit hardware monitor senses some voltage changes. what i dont know is whether or not this should be at all normal and where the problem lies. case temp is around 30-35 (dep on load), CPU usu low 50's.
is this an overall case cooling problem or a voltage problem? will motherboard manager help in diagnosis at all?
if you could please help, i would appreciate it otherwise, this thing may be flying towards someone as it heads out my window. |
