You missed the entire point about that link. The second sentance in it says it all:
"Free software'' is a matter of liberty, not price. To understand the concept, you should think of ``free'' as in ``free speech,'' not as in ``free beer.''
Not alot of sugar coating on that, seems pretty straight forward to me.
