| This is a pretty common issue with the PCA9685 when driving high-power LEDs at low duty cycles. The default PWM frequency is around 200Hz, so flickering at 10–20% brightness is expected. Try increasing the PWM frequency (around 1kHz or higher) by adjusting the prescale in the Python library. Cayenne doesn’t control the PWM Hz — it depends on the PCA9685. Also make sure you’re using a proper constant-current LED driver, otherwise low-level strobing is likely. |
