I ran a few speed testing programs to get the data of read speed and write speed .

Here are details of my computer:

HD:Seagate ST3250310AS
MB:Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe(NF 570)
CPU:AMD 6000+

Thank you for replying, here are the details of the speed test:

When tested in Xp, the read speed is about 60M/s
the write speed is about 80M/s

Could anyone tell me why the read speed of my SATA Hard disk is lower than the write speed ? ThX
