Up in Madison, WI, the venerable Network of Gamers, getting so close to our 3rd anniversary of running LAN parties in south central WI, is having a special, fun April Fools Day LAN. Yes, this is real, yes we are having a LAN. No seriously. Stop laughing.

In addition to hot hot FPS action in BF2 and CSS (tournaments with prizes!), and some crushing RTS play, we'll be having a few fun tournaments as well.

These include:

* Seeing Eye Dog Unreal Tournament 2004 - This takes teamwork in pairs. One player will be at the controls, but with their monitor off. The other will be a spectator. The spectation gives directions to the controller by either yelling them out or over TeamSpeak (we'll have a local server) or other voice chat program.

* Mouse Throwing for Distance - Take out some frustration and enjoy the sounds of splintering plastic as you hurl computer mice through the air! And yes, mice will be provided.

* Mt. Dew Speed Drinking Olympics - Like most sports, speed is king here. Down the sweet yellow nector the quickest and you'll take home the gold!

* Dance Off - Show your moves on StepMania! We'll have the TV, pads (soft pads), and music ready to go for you!

Plus, there is a possibility of American Gladiator Joust! (We were going to do Sumo, but the suits are REALLY expensive to rent.)

But wait! THERE'S MORE! As an attendant, you'll also get discounts on play in Misty Mountain's BattlePods! What is a battle pod you ask? Well, Misty has 8 of them, and they are enclosed cockpits that you play MechWarrior on. Each pod has a main, wrapped screen, seperate radar screen, and 4 aux screens for weapons, communications, etc. Surround sound completes the immursion!

And, as always, free soda all day long! Tons of different kinds to choose from!

This LAN will take place from 10am on Saturday, April 1st to 2am Sunday, April 2nd.

Cost for the event is $10 for everyone. Refer a friend and get free Bawls!

We have room for 100 gamers!

Signup at Network of Gamers ! You can also spread the word by putting up our flyer.
