OK yeah, I'm double dipping. I just got a new case and a new fan controller. I didn't realize that the case fans have 4 pin connectors on them that don't fit my controller. They're both lian li so I thought it would all be good. I saw an adapter to connect them, it seems like it would be awkward though, as the wire to the fan has that extra lead coming off of it, like if you wanted to plug something else in with the fan. So it would be this big chunky cable attached to a small fan lead, not very stealth. So I'm not sure what to do.
What's the best way to do this? |

I have many cables like you descibe in use... With so many fan controllers offering 3-pin connections to save space, its the easiest way to hook up your 4-pin fans.

Other option would be to cut and splice the leads. May be easier to conceal than a 4-pin connector, but its hard to get back to original, too.
Good cable management is all you need. |
