for those of you running Firefox, take a look at your about:config and look at key

network.dns.ipv4OnlyDomains

all my machines have this set as default to .doubleclick.net

WTF????

can't find anything on google about this particular key, anyone know what it is for, and why it would point to doubleclick?

No, he means if you navigate to "about:config" in Firefox. Odd because I'm showing the same doubclick BS here at work.

Sorry I should have been more specific, I'm running Firefox 1.0 with all security updates, but research so far on Google hasn't turned up what this setting is for. After seeing "tricks" like typing anything after http://http:// and it will redirect you to Microsoft's homepage I'm a little worried as to why this is the default.

Good find Vulcan. It looks like this directive is currently not in use.
