I got excited...

But I have made myself only buy SATA from now on, and beyond that, only NCQ SATA drives.

Now the choice is 2 x 160 Seagate NCQ or 1 Maxtor 300 gig NCQ, both a few ten spots over 200 bux...

you know what, I never even looked...

Seagate NCQ SATA II 160 gig = 5 year

Maxtor NCQ SATA II 300 gig = 3 year

I have had nothing but great luck with every Seagate I have purchased.

I have RMA'd two maxtors in the last 2 years...

Seagate had the first native SATA drive...

Once again the Evil one pulls a rabbit out of his hat!!!

THNX MAN!!!

Everytime I see such a deal in the Fry's ad (I got 4 of them about an hour away) I wanna hop in the car and get a drive. Then I look and see that:

1: I don't have room in my server case for another drive
2: I'm already pushing my PSU in such a case and don't want to invite another drive in the mix.
3: I've got enough space already and don't need more soon.

My solution to this issue? Simple, XMAS!!!!!

For Xmas I'm probably getting for myself a new server case with more room, and also a big PSU to drive the sucker. Makes little sense I know, but still, it'll be new parts to play with!
