BUFFALO INTRODUCES BUFFALOLINK SERVICE FOR SIMPLE, SECURE CLOUD ACCESS
BuffaloLink, Available with Buffalo’s New LinkStation 400 Series, Introduces the Future of Remote Access and Networked Device Management

CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW (CES), Las Vegas – January 8, 2013 - Buffalo Technology, a global leader in the design, development and manufacturing of wired and wireless networking and network and direct attached storage solutions, today announced its new BuffaloLink cloud storage solution, offering consumers an easy and secure way to bridge digital content. Available on the forthcoming LinkStation 400 Series, BuffaloLink securely connects users to their digital content for easy management and access anytime, anywhere over the Internet. Buffalo Technology is demonstrating BuffaloLink at CES in booth #36620, South Hall 4 in the LVCC, January 8-11 in Las Vegas.

BuffaloLink is a cutting-edge service that securely connects users to the content on their Buffalo network attached storage (NAS) device while away from home and consolidates supported Buffalo NAS devices for easy remote access from a single account. Architected from the ground up by Buffalo Technology, the BuffaloLink cloud relay system was designed to provide the utmost ease of use and performance, promoting an exceptional user experience. Hosted by Buffalo on servers in the U.S., Europe and Asia, BuffaloLink is a free service on supported Buffalo products, such as the LinkStation 400 Series of NAS devices, launching in early 2013. BuffaloLink is easy to set up and manage, with no advanced firewall configurations or membership fees.

“With each new gadget, daily activities revolve more and more around our digital worlds. Being connected to your content is now more than a luxury - it is a necessity,” said Hajime Nakai, chief executive officer at Buffalo Technology (USA), Inc. “We designed and built BuffaloLink to provide the best cloud access technology in the industry, allowing consumers to access terabytes of their content over the Internet.”

BuffaloLink account registration and login to personal content is accessible at one easy to remember URL – www.BuffaloLink.com. Its user-friendly interface provides simple navigation, making it easy for users to register and log in for immediate access to their data. Consumers can easily access multiple supported products from one password protected account rather than maintaining instructions and login credentials for each Buffalo device. While on the go, users can access content from their mobile devices; apps for Apple® and Android™ smartphone and tablet devices expand accessibility, making it even easier and more convenient for users to connect to their content when and where they need it.

Scheduled to launch in early 2013, the new LinkStation 400 Series offers ultra high performance network storage operation, featuring an upgraded processor for unsurpassable transfer speeds of 80+ MBps. In addition, its new user interface (UI) offers a wholly redesigned look and feel, with intuitive navigation and easy-to-use setup wizards. Each model touting a matte-finish chassis, the LinkStation 400 Series is available in a single-drive, two-drive and easily scalable external enclosure and is the first to feature the new BuffaloLink remote access and content management service, free for the life of the product.
