I bookmarked this a while ago...

And finally decided to try it on this drive today...

At first I tried to skip what they listed as an optional firmware update, and TRIM would not take. I figured a firmware update would wipe out my data, and didn't want to take a chance. After it failed to work without the firmware update, I backed up the drive, applied the new firmware, and then applied TRIM. It worked! Pretty cool... and I didn't lose any data.
I am using this as the only drive in my HTPC now - a great place for it. All files are on the network, so I just need about 20GB of space for Windows 7 and the few apps installed. |
