Is there an application or means to bypass AMD's clock throttling on a nVidia chipset? My friend's HP SR2013WM machine with one of those integrated chipsets and a AMD 64 3800 seems to get stuck at 800mhz at times and takes forever to ramp up back to full clock. The buss speeds are horrendously slow, sometimes taking minutes to open Firefox or Internet Exploder.
I've already checked the BIOS for an option, none. And I've cleared it of junk appz, spyware, virus', etc. All the updates are done for WinXP Media Center, drivers, etc..
When its running at full clock its a rather snappy PC, but when its on partial clock speed its a slug. |
