I get the pleasure of owning this board, but I need to make a system around it. I will go phenom II BE (board works better with unlocked than lock because of HTT issue) but not sure which CPU. I am strongly looking at 720 x3

I am debating between this CL9 memory Corsair memory that is on the mobo support list and
this CL7 Mushkin looks so much better but not on the support list

any and all suggestions are welcome for the entire build... currently priced at $655 for CM storm scout w/ 700W UCP psu, cheapest 4830 i can find to which i will sell and upgrade this winter to Dx11, cavier black 1TB (up for debate), and am looking for a retail DVD/CD with burning software.. Thanks again

ya thanks, keep in mind I am up for debate about the entire system. Including a decent cooler...
memory decision is just weighing on me heavy.

As to RAM, maybe you can look at newegg feedback for users with Mushkin CL7 compatibility?

As to GPU, why not go 4770 instead of 4830?

can't find 4770 for under $110 and 4850s are going for under $90 (reason for finding the cheapest around is that ATI is having a major price cut next month to clear inventory for Dx11 chips) which means either a cheaper last gen video card this winter or a nice Dx11. Grin

I have yet to find a someone with both a DFI AM3 board and mushkin memory. Found a couple AM2+ that use ddr2 versions.... but ya...
always fun to be the first (if it works..) Rolling Eyes

i am also came across this lian li case which will be promising as well (I would like a case that can be transported at least a little) Wink

I like a bunch of the G.Skill memory I have used lately, but check out the deal on this 4GB OCZ Reaper kit (7-7-7-24)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227320

$74, shipped free, and then a $20 rebate!

I have been looking at them for the deal with the 720 making it the cheapest that I am looking at, but I am concerned heatsinks cause an issue CPU cooler(which I still haven't decided on but CM n520 looks nice) .
But definite value in these sticks!!

4770s here are slowly trickling back into retailers...might be more worthwhile to wait for 4770 than 4830 as the former might bring higher resale value when you sell it months from now? Smile
