I am looking for a laptop, speeds above 1.5Ghz(p4), storage of about 30gb, be able to play dvds, internet ready. Any one out there know of a good deal? Please please help

i was looking at this, but im sure there is a better maker and deal out there than Dell.

I am not up on all the latest and greatest on laptops, but if I were to buy right now I think it would be a matter of choosing a Dell or maybe a Toshiba, if I had a few more bucks to spend (I like their style and big screens).

Sage is good stuff, but expensive. I might jsut have to go with Dell.

Is this as good of a deal as im gonna get, OR can i do better?

I personally wouldn't go with a Dell Laptop. I had a couple at my last job. Well all of the Engineers had them, and we all had problems with them. CD drives failing, HDD's crashing, Motherboards going bad, etc...

I would check out that Toshiba that BB pointed out. Possibly an IBM too.

I bought a factory refurb Averatech at Eagle:

Check them out. I liked the Averatech because it's so small (keyboard was a bit hard, but ok) but if you want a larger one, check out the Toshiba in the second link, it looks good to me.

I had a very good experience with Eagle when I bought the Averatech, no complaints at all. The person I called about paying by MO personally took care of my order.

Thank you all, i think i will go the Toshiba. I didnt like the idea of the Dell either, but thats the best deal i was able to find Crazy
