If i was to get an i7 920, 6gb ddr3 1333mhz, 320gb hitachi deskstar and other casey bits like kingwin 900watt PSU and Xclio Windtunnel Case.
Am i likely to be bottlenecked too much by the fact that id be running a Hd2600xt gpu as i cant afford to get a gtx 295 yet lol.
I obviously know that it will bottleneck quite abit during games but id still get fairly good performance wouldnt i??

If you're spending all that money on the other parts, I'd scrounge around for at least another $100 or so to get a better video card. Do you have that 2600XT already, or are you buying that?

Sure, you can always add another card later, but it looks like you are going to be spending some bucks now anyway...

Those would most definitely hold that system back. I agree with Jason and would look into squeezing a few more bucks for an upgraded video card. Especially if this will be for gaming, then a big portion of that will fall on the video card. You can snag the new 4770 for about $100 or a 9800GT for about the same, both would SCREAM past a 7600GT!

Can't do that with SLI, they both have to be the same card. Heard you can do it with Crossfire, but it scales both cards down to the slowest one.

What do you currently have for the rest of your system? In terms of game performance, you might make out better just buying the GTX 295 now and getting the rest of the system later.

I would say use that 2600XT as you already have it & upgrade later.
