WOW!!! I must admit this is a GREAT deal!

With the prices of SSD going down, I think I'll wait a bit. But I'm pretty sure that soon enough I'll be buying at least one 32GB or even 64GB to use as my primary HD for the Operating System. Grin

Thanks for the info... Smile

So...what are you waiting for. If I were you, I'd do it immediately. Yeah, I know how it is, I also feel lazy sometimes to re-install everything. But hey, you can always make an image of your C: Drive and then restore it on your new SSD.

Or...you can always give your SSD to me... Laughing JK Smile

These are laptop SSDs though... Show so you guys notice. You plug them in to a mini PCI-E slot. I was thinking of it since my new laptop doesn't need the space or weight of the full 2.5" drive... And the RAM could go to an older laptop as an upgrade.

Yeah, I guess so...

I was fooled to think you can plug it also into a PCI-E slot in your desktop motherboard Confused , but I guess I was wrong... Sad

perhaps a mini PCI-E to regular PCI-E dongle or converter card?
something like that must exist.

I am still considering one of these... My laptop has three of these PCI Express slots, with two still open (wireless in one). Would be much lighter than a hard drive, and I don't need that much disk space. Wonder if you can RAID these kinds of things.

This:

I should probably learn more about it. Laughing

I just know it has the three mini slots, plus the one for the video card which I assume is also PCI-E.
