Never knew or cared what this holiday was about, but I did a real world LOL Sunday night when I found out what the Mexicans were celebrating... a military victory... A military victory over the French!! Hahaha... France lost to Mexico! Has France ever won anything? Let me ask Google...

Yeah - to further my socio-political educatrion (or something)... Apparently the Mexicans don't really celebrate Cinqo de Mayo... Its mostly an American thing. So, despite it having authentic roots... its just a reason to get sloshed! (too bad I'm drinking beer from north of the border right now... Mmm, Molson XXX)
