I feel bad for those who already bought into the HD DVD media. Especially if they bought it early, now seeing the $400 player sold for next to nothing.
I'm glad I played it safe and just bought a PS3, if Blu Ray lost, I still would have an awesome gaming system. (But now I have that and the Hi Def player of the future)

Ditto. Held off on buying either format until it was over. WIth the number of DVDs I have, certainly have no shortage of movies to watch. ALthough NOW I'm watching for good sales to replace the DVDs with Blu-Ray versions LOL AT least of some of the movies, not all of them..not every movie nees that kind of quality
That's nothing compared to the outburst of HD DVD buyers after Best Buy started offering $50 GC to HD DVD buyers here in Canada. They made a mistake of not including a "by X" deadline. People got Xbox 360 HD DVD drives for free. Actually, they were paid about $7 to buy one. Stock vanished in a flash. Crazy.
