For some reason those speed test don't like my new connection. I only get at a max 1.1Mbps down, yet I have d/l'd several large things that have d/l'd at 1.5Mbps.

Your upstream sucks trek! I get more than that with dial-up (70K up is what it shows even though that's not correct, it's more like 30K up).

Since spork isn't here, I'll mention his T3 at work. The DSL reports test maxes out at 22 down, 9 up, even though it's more like 40-44 down.

My apartment's cable connection maxed out at about 6500/1100 on those tests... the new place isn't bad either averaging at around 5600/800 on a few tests the past 2 days.

I'll have to run TCP Optimizer and the other tweaks I may be missing and see if I can get back up to full speed.

When I moved the cable company stayed the same, but they brought me a new modem anyway... Went from a big beige SB4100 to a sleek black SB5100.
