Thinking of going with either the 3.0 or 3.0 800mhz with HT processor.

Since I've been away from the Intel market for a while, what's a good Motherboard for it? Going to start my research today, but wanted to get some thoughts from you all first.

Will be the first Intel system in my house in like 4 years *gulp*

Ones based on the 865PE chipset are strong performers at 800MHz fsb... and the other chipset to look at is the 875P.

I have an Abit IS7-G (865PE) and its solid... tons of onboard goodies, oc's past 1000MHz fsb.

Have a few Intel based boards on the way for review... but it'll be a few weeks before I can say they're worth a look.

Well, I could get the processor, and then you could send me a MB to review Wink Anything would be better than nothing LOL

Besides, it'll take me a week to begin the tranisition from one of my old systems to a new one, have to basically clean off and prepare for re-imaging of three computers. And two of those isn't going to be fun...

Beat how? In ghetto fabulousness? Sure, I guess so... Laughing

Hellfire... you'll have to get on line for review samples on these boards... Laughing - a couple guys, including me are all set for them. They actually arrived today! Nice looking stuff, hope they kick some Censored

Yeah, I know, the 3.2C nudges me out a bit on the Mega FLOPS, but it's 800MHz higher clock speed. Laughing
