What kind of harddrive do you have now? You have to tell us if your worried about it not being compatible. With a post like this, your current system specs can be helpful to put into your sig.
If your inexperienced at building computers another thing you might tend to overlook is the form factor. Make sure you have a mATX compatible case before you purchase the motherboard.
It looks like the motherboard is capable of both sata-II and only TWO IDE devices. If you have older devices, theres a good chance that they are IDE. Keep in mind that both older CD-RWs/DVD/DVD-RWs etc will be running off of IDE as well as the older harddives that you might have.
**EDIT** - Do NOT buy that CPU with that motherboard. While the motherboard says that it supports AMD X2 processing, that ONLY refers to socket 939 AMD X2's. You've currently got a socket AM2 cpu picked out to go into a socket 939 motherboard. It looks like AMD is phasing out the old socket 939 cpus, if you want to stick with socket 939 and an X2 (and newegg), you'll have to go with one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?N=50001028+1050717007+1051707439&Submit=ENE _________________ ABAP? Yea, the AM2 CPU won't fit in a Socket 939 board. Also, find out if the motherboard would take an Operton (should). Then get one of these:

Cheaper than the X2's and have 1mb L2 cache for each core instead of the 512K those X2's have. |

Alright well that should work, but keep in mind that will only leave room for either one other harddrive like that or one cd-drive. _________________ ABAP? What did you call me? |
