NFL Week Ten

This week's prize is sponsored by NZXT:

Up for grabs is a brand new Beta EVO case, as shown at NZXT.com and at Newegg.com.

Full of options for expansion, the case fits high performance 10.5" graphics cards, up to 4 external 5.25" drives and 5 internal 3.5" HDD racks. Beta EVO provides a number of features that significantly enhance ease of installation including screwless installation for 5.25" drives and superior wire management capabilities with the bottom mounted PSU and 180 degree turned HDD cage. It also features punched holes in the motherboard allowing for quick CPU bracket removal.

Scoring:

» 5 points per game for picking the winner
» 5 extra points (10 total) per game for picking the exact score

The winner of the contest is determined by which ever entrant has the most points at the end of all games this week. If the contest should end in a tie based on points alone, the tie breaker will be determined by which entrant has the lowest point differential. The point differential takes the absolute value of the difference between the actual score and your predicted score for each game, and adds them all together.

Note: This week's NFL schedule has one game on Thursday night (Nov. 12). We will not be including that game in the contest just so that everyone has fair opportunity to get their picks in without rushing. We will include only the Sunday and Monday games.

Rules:

1. You have until kick off of each game to make your picks, once a game starts you will not be able to change your pick.
2. To play you must be a registered member of the Bigbruin.com forum.
3. One winner will be chosen based on the final score of the contest.
4. At the end of the contest, the winner must provide their shipping address, and the prize will ship out right away.
5. This contest is open to participants in the USA and Canada only, and shipping is included.
6. Rules subject to change.

Tips:

1. Your picks aren't set in stone until game time. You can edit your predictions for any particular game as often as you want right up to kick off.
2. Once a game starts the software does not let you see your predictions. Your best bet for remembering your picks is to take a screen shot of the predictions page or to write them down.
3. Scores will be updated when available and are listed at the bottom of the game's page.
4. Monday Night Football is included, but the upcoming week's games will generally be listed beforehand. While the game and prediction pages may show an overlap during this period, the scores and standings will not get mixed up.

We had the Beta for review, but this is the Beta EVO... I haven't looked, but I don't know the difference, other than $20 more for EVO... And I don't know what the EVO stands for... Extra Virgin Olives? Emergency Vehicle Operator? Egg Vapor Odor? Bad Air

EVOlution

I can't wait for the weekend...I'm taking odds advice from a classified source (that's not against the rules, is it?)

I think the EVO has more fan room and the PSU is bottom mounted compared to the top mount of the normal Beta.

I was wondering the same thing when it first came out. The original Beta had a top mounted PSU and no place for fans on the top panel. The new Beta has a frame similar to the Lexa S and M59 with the PSU in the bottom and room for two top mounted fans.

Inside of the original Beta:

Inside of the Beta Evo:

Small refinements and definately a step in the right direction from NZXT.

Nice to see case makers listening to their customers suggestions.

I ran into this at Bit-Tech this morning. Apparently Akasa uses the same OEM as NZXT.
