I tried IE8 on my brother's laptop and I did not like it.

Does anyone use IE anymore?

FF FTW!

Only reason to use FF is the plug-ins. Other wise FF sucks just as bad as IE.

I've been using Firefox since 1.0 and love it. What is so bad about it?

I would not trust IE as far as I could throw it.

Which, since it is software, I can't throw it at all.

I won't flip to this browser until I absolutely have to. Firefox with IE Tabs works perfectly on 99.9% of web sites. Let the SW stabilize first.

Installed this a couple of weeks ago - it's alright. But still, Firefox FTW.

It still feels quite IE7 to me, but slightly faster. Firefox and Opera are still my favourite alternatives though. Smile

I prefer Opera but look forward to giving IE8 a shot. Might not be the best, but if it works that’s all that really matters imho

It's better than IE7, but I'll never give up FF because of my plugins.

I'm not a fan of IE8. It is slow and I have a hard to getting my paging to load up properly. I'm using Chrome right now and it is soooooo much faster and I don't have the issues with webpages not loading up.

QFT, it was a big improvement over IE7 (not as big as IE6 -> IE7) but i like Firefox better.

I recently was having so many problems with IE7 (crashing, freezing, unstopable tabs opening continuously for some strange reason, all sorts of wacky things happening) then I downloaded IE8 and virtually all problems were fixed and IE8 recognized problems with drivers and other stuff and I stopped getting so many pop up error messages. so it was worth it for me. My computer also in general was faster and has had less delays with IE8. I dont have alot of memory in my computer so it wil always be a bit strained when I open too many pages or try to do too many tasks at once but I have found no problems specifically related to IE8 so far.
