Dell cases are usually pretty pisspoor anyways. Get a cheapie $20 one from TigerDirect and it'll be better than the Dell. Spend some extra cash and get a real case, with a decent amount of internal room, and you won't have to upgrade it for a long time.

I agree, get a new case and ditch the dell case. doesn't he have to get a new PSU as well? I cant imagine dells coming with a decent/good PSU(power supply) I wouldn't trust the dell oem PSU with a 4870...just my opinion

BTW BTX PSU's are different than ATX PSU's......right?

Most stock computers from major off the self companies use mATX. You can usually tell by the size of the case, mid towers almost always have mATX MoBo's

I know Dell was using BTX (and micro BTX) which is like ATX reversed but I thought that was an intel only form factor. I take back what I said before, I think if you re planning a new build, you may want to get a new case while you're at it. This is why I would never recommend a Dell to anyone, too many proprietary parts.

I currently am a full time student and a part time ITS worker at Manchester College. All of the new Optiplex computers have been sticking with the BTX standard, however this does not go to say all of them are running BTX, but for DELL you may want to figure they are running BTX.
