If you want a piece of NVIDIA technology, NVIDIA's chip keychain is your answer. With a genuine NVIDIA G98 chip inside a 1.5" square clear lucite key tag you not only get a real GPU, but also a key chain. The G98 chip comes complete with an engraved NVIDIA logo. -- $9.99

This is almost Captain Jeanluc Picard *facepalm* worthy.

Nvidia... "Hey, wanna buy a defective POS chip and have it imbued into a keychain?"
I wonder if you could take it out and modify it for actual use... I wonder if it actually has the ability to replace the graphics on a laptop..

That's just shows another way of making money from the customers.

But honestly, I personally liked the idea... Wink

Intel had this a while ago and they gave them away at trade shows. I used to have an old 1 meg (yes, meg!) stick on my keys from a 386 that went bad. They work great as box openers.

For a while, there were some pcbs that had failed QC and being recycled as covers for notebooks and journals.

I don t see it available at the nVidia online shop anymore. I favor ATi but I would have bought one just to own a piece of history.

Yeah, I've just verified that. Sad

But it behaves strangely... Confused It first shows the product page with 'In Stock: Available for Backorder' message and right afterwards is switches automatically with a blink-of-an-eye to nVidia main Homepage... Rolling Eyes

Free Image Hosting by ImageBam.com

I took a quick screen shot to capture the item number right before it switches to the online shop home page.

Yeah, that's exactly what I saw for a second or so before it switched to the main page.

Maybe it switches to the main page in purpose, since they don't have it in stock anymore...But even then, they could have just said: NOT IN STOCK. Grin GO FIGURE... Wink

I thought this was a cool idea, I'd buy one if I had spare cash to throw around Smile
