Hello. having a problem with vista 64bit
I removed the hiberfil with the disk cleanup and all was well
but then i changed my power scheme to sleep after 40 minuets
and it created another hiberfil which was fine ,untill i wanted to get
rid of it which is the problem now, i cant get rid of it with disk cleanup
and I can't find a way to remove it any suggestions? Bang Head

ok sorry for the post it took some hunting but i got rid of it had to turn it off in the run command and reboot into safe and delete it that way but ty

It's a file that keeps the state of your system for hibernation or power down.

With Vista you can have certain programs running, and when the system reboots, it'll remember where those programs were at and automatically reopen them.
