I've still got the free test version running on a couple computers. One of which is running Vista RC1 and it doesn't seem to be as bad as it was before. When you consider that it's supposed to be an all in one solution it doesn't seem to be nearly as resource hungry as Norton.
I use Avast Home (free) / spyware doctor ($30 for two licenses) on my main desktop computer and my sons computer. It's probably consumes about as many resources as OneCare, but works fine for me. I may switch all my comps over to Live OneCare once my spyware doctor licenses expire. I just have a really hard time giving Microsoft more HDD real estate. _________________

Yea... problem is in the recent test(s) I've seen AVG hasn't done well. That's why I ditched it. This seems to work just as well or better for memory than the others do. So....

I think it's just Microsoft's way of trying to fend off competition.

MS was just upset that another company is doing better at world domination than them. _________________ ABAP? What did you call me? |
