Hi All,

I am new here so hi.

I have a Snap Server 1100 which seems to work fine locally but I want to set it up so friends can gain access to the server over the Internet eather by web browser or FTP. I may add that I am totally confused by the admin features of the server.

Can anyone please tell me step by step how to set it up so people can FTP the server and upload and download files? I have a DSL connection and my house is on a network with a hub that handels every room on my house.

I would appreciate any tips anyone could give me. I wish this admin interface was easier to use.

Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug, welcome.

JimBowy might need to comment on any features in the SnapServer, but what about your network settings? I bet the first block will be in your broadband router... You will need to access that device's control panel an allow the FTP port to be open to the Internet. Have you done that kind of thing yet?
