The initial quote with 256mb ram is something I shun.
I find 512mb barely adequate for doing anything myself.
And for cheap systems for other people 512 is bare minimum unless more can be afforded.
As of Windows XP, 512mb has become my bare minimum requirement for any PC.
1gb is always my personal bare requirement.
nice quotes tho. I did something similar right before xmas. |

Note: That was a complete system, with fan controller, fans, case and psu (decent 350w thermaltake job as well).
Basically, a friend of mine was really, really desperate for cash, so he sold two complete rigs, a 450VA ups, 17" tft, logitech X-530 speakers and two 16 port switches to me for £750 cash. |
