Sometimes, the newer games that are CPU/GPU intensive will flake out with "other" programs running in the background.....make sure you turn off all extra programs............

Okay ty, i am going to run the suse memtest, if it passes i might go further and try diff sticks. I have no programs running in the background. Is it possible the mobo chipset is buggy...?

Mobo is always a possibility. My kids system just died due to a bad mobo. It started BSOD on many games and only got worse. I tried different ram and video cards but none of it worked. When I used the jumper to clear CMOS and it smoked it was a pretty obvious clue.

Um... aren't you supposed to clear the CMOS with the power off?

When I cleared the CMOS it was unplugged. The jumper to clear it was white but turned black when I moved it. Put it back on normal position and tried to fire up the PC. Nothing but smoke, no fans no beeps just smoke.
