How do you permanently disable tabs in Mozilla Firefox?

Seems like it either resets itself back to tabs, or if you aren't careful to select "open in new windows" when right clicking on a link ya get a new tab.

I really cant stand tabbed viewing. I like reading multiple pages at one time and comparing.

I've selected "New Window" in the options, but still manage to get tabs all the time now. Any hacks to cure this??

Click "tools -> options -> tabs", check "hide tab bar when only one site is opened".

why in the heck would you even wanna use firefox if you dont intend to use tabs ? Confused

other than for the fact that security wise it's infinitely exponentially better than IE Laughing

Security, oh yeah.. much better.. no more hosed OS installs from surfing the "wrong sites"...

Tabs, hate'm hate'm hate'm... I read 1-10+ different things at a time, also compare things on pages side-by-side.. need seperate browsers for that. I feel really constricted with tabs, sorta like the way I feel when running less than 1920x1440 resolution.

I know what you mean with the resolution, my high school used to force 800x600 resolution on me in my 3 computer classes a day. Thank god I'm finally done with that Cool Cool Cool

I've always used 1024 x 768 resolution, on my 19" crt monitor, even though the monitor can support higher resolutions.

I don't understand how anyone can stand a resolution of 1920 x 1440. You would need to use a magnifying glass to read the text on the screen. With 1024 x 768, the text appears at a perfect size, and very easy to read.
