Maybe the disk is going into a sleep state and Windows thinks it's disconnected? _________________ 5 home-built PCs, ASUS A6Jc Laptop, and a PowerEdge 2650 - all running Gentoo. Now if only I can get a car and plane to run it. Take a look at my Gallery! |

Disable delayed write for that drive. I forget exactly how to do it and I'm not in Windows at the moment, so maybe someone else can tell you or you can google it ;-) _________________ 5 home-built PCs, ASUS A6Jc Laptop, and a PowerEdge 2650 - all running Gentoo. If you haven't disabled delayed write, do that. I had to on my old Archos MP3 player in Windows, otherwise when writing a few gigs of music to it, after about 5 minutes, I'd get those errors. _________________ 5 home-built PCs, ASUS A6Jc Laptop, and a PowerEdge 2650 - all running Gentoo. ZoneAlarm is known to have assortted intermittant problems with some external devices.
shut it off, at least until you can make the needed changes (it may require that you uninstall ZA temporarily) and consider finding a new firewall, ZA isn't as good as it used to be |
