here in cali we dont belive in leaves its paradise and we only have native palm trees...try a lawnmower over them...they will be nicely shredded and pre bagged...

I agree with HackaX0rus,
I got tired of going through the same thing so now I just lower the lawn mower to it's lowest setting and make a couple passes. Shreds the leaves pretty good and picks up most of them as well.

I use the lawnmower, but it was still a few hours worth of work. Mostly because this was the first time I did it, and I should have been on it for the last 3-4 weeks! Laughing
