Has anyone ever had a problem with flashing the bios with this board? I tried to flash it with the ADWflash utility from a diskette before and it died. I sent the chip to a friend and had him re-flash it for me. It's worked great for a long time. But recently I started getting an error while playing WoW, and i've troubleshot a lot of things. My memory and everything passes stress tests, memtest ect. I reformatted my computer, and still the same problems. So I figured I'd try and update my bios again. This time I tried winflash, thinking it might be a little safer. I went to the DFI site, and saw that the most recent bios also is designed to work better with the lower watt processors, and I'm using a 35w processor. Sounded great. Downloaded it, flashed it, said everything was kosher and needed to reboot. After reboot, dead again. I have another bios chip coming in the mail. But this is getting ridiculous. Anyone know of these problems with the bios' on the dfi site? Or know maybe a 3rd party flash that won't be fubared everytime I try it? Any info would be greatly appreciated. _________________ Nothing says good job like a firm open palmed slap on the behind. |

Check for TMod's boot discs. They're an ISO you can burn and it has mutliple boot options to flash all kinds of DFI boards as well as some beta and 'unsupported' bios versions (like the one from OCZTony for NF4 which is f'in amazing and is more stable than the DFI one I had ) |

I actually got that last night, didn't have time to respond here. But as soon as I get my new bios chip. I'll reflash my old one with an original bios, then play from there. There's a lot of things on that boot disc, I'm going to feel like a kid in a candy store. _________________ Nothing says good job like a firm open palmed slap on the behind. |

I'm getting nothing but problems with flashing. I tried to hotflash my bios in another board. I tried with the newest DFI file and still experiencing errors. So I'm going to try the next older one, or perhaps one of the modified bios files. _________________ Nothing says good job like a firm open palmed slap on the behind. |
